Introduction
Message Mirror is one of the tools you must have on your phone. You need Message Mirror when you want to
- Find any deleted message.
- Backup all messages.
- Keep your messages secret.
Message Mirror has a "mirroring service" running on your phone. Once the service has started, it monitors all incoming and outgoing messages. When you open Message Mirror console, you are able to browse all your messages even if you have deleted them from inbox or sent box. You can also convert all your messages to a file and send it to your PC or email address. Message Mirror supports 4 file types: TEXT, HTML, CSV and XML. Your Message Mirror may also be password protected. By means of this, you can delete your private message from inbox/sentbox and read them in Message Mirror.

When you open Message Mirror, main console of the software will show up. With the console you can
Start/Stop mirroring service.
Backup/Export messages.
Browse message history.
Only when mirroring service is running, incoming or outgoing messages are mirrored. If you stop the service, you can only browse old mirrored messages.
You can export all your mirrored messages to another device (normally a PC). Message Mirror first converts all messages to a file and then sends the file to your target device via Bluetooth/Infrared/MMS. Type of the file can be TEXT/HTML/CSV/XML.

You can browse all mirrored messages. This is quite helpful when you want to find a deleted message. The left picture is a screenshot of browse view.
When you browse messages, you can select options menu to forward/reply/display/delete any mirrored messages.

In "Options" page you can configure Message Mirror software.
- Mirror Incoming Msg - Enable monitoring on all incoming messages.
- Mirror Outgoing Msg - Enable monitoring on all outgoing messages.
- Max Mirror Number - Set the maximum message numbers stored in Message Mirror database. "0" means unlimited.
- Export Method - Select the transfer method for exporting messages. You have 4 options: Email, MMS, Bluetooth and Infrared.
- Export File Type - Select the file type for exporting messages. You have 4 options: TEXT, HTML, CSV and XML.
- Password - Set password to access Message Mirror console. A password should contain 1-8 characters. Password is encrypted and stored on your phone. Do not forget your password, or you cannot enter Message Mirror.

Once you have set a password, every time you open Message Mirror console, you need to type in your password to gain the access (shown in left picture).

You can set the message mirroring service to start automatically with phone boot up.
|
When you export all your mirrored messages to another device, Message Mirror software converts all messages to a single file. Four file types are currently supported: TEXT, HTML, CSV and XML. Below are the examples:

Note: Microsoft Excel cannot read UTF8 encoded CSV file. If you have problems to open a CSV file in Microsoft Excel, please convert your messages to XML format.

PowerBoot Integration for Lite edition
It is strong recommended to start message mirroring service automatically when you turn on your phone.
For stanard edition the application supports this feature natively so you can bypass this section.
For lite edition you may use PowerBoot software to make it. PowerBoot is a freeware for S60 3rd edition devices. For detailed information about PowerBoot please visit here.
To integrate Message Mirror Lite with PowerBoot is easy. You only need to simply follow 3 steps.
- Run Message Mirror and start mirroring service.
- Run PowerBoot and open "Running Apps" page.
- Find "smscopylite_a00033bf.exe" in PowerBoot running apps list and add it to startup list.
